Part Of My Arsenal

I would like to share with you one of the products I use when I detail a car. Back when I first started cleaning I would buy interior cleaners that I thought smelled good but I quickly learned what you think smells good the next person might not necessarily think the same. So I did a lot of searching for an odorless cleaner and ran across nonsense cleaner by chemical guys. Now I don’t recommend chemical guys if your running a business because their stuff is for the person who cleans their own car the stuff is just to expensive to run a business. But this cleaner is very good at a good price because its concentrated I use about 1 oz to a 32 Oz sprayer. But you can play around with different strengths to see what suits your needs.  This stuff will clean just about anything with no smell. That way if your customer has their own airfreshner or is just sensitive to smells this is a very good cleaner. Another reason I use it is because a bunch of newer  vehicles I clean have a matte finish interior and the customer wants to keep it that way. If they want shine I have another product for that, but that’s for another time. Thanks for reading

One Of The Top Questions I Get Asked

If anyone considers their self a detailer then they should do what I’m about to talk about. One of the top questions I get asked that I shouldn’t is when I go to wax a vehicle “Do you wax the top” because the company before me just wanted to save a little time and I guess product or was simply to lazy to wax the top of a vehicle. How do you not do that think about or do that. Think about this where is the sun and every other element constantly hitting? “The top of a vehicle” This is the most important part of a vehicle to give a really good wax layer to. I also have another question I get asked a lot about the interior but that’s a whole different subject. But that’s the world we live in there will always be someone out there trying to swindle someone out of some money any way they can. I believe different if you pay someone to do something then you want it done same as the swindlers pay someone I’m pretty sure they want it done right also what if the job they paid for got done halfway. Just saying if someone pays you to do a job do it right the old saying anything worth doing is worth doing right. Thanks for reading.

The Right Way To Apply Tire Shine

Applying tire shine isn’t as hard as you may think. You will need an applicator it’s best if you can find one that contours to the tire. You have to be sure the tire is completely clean if you don’t then the shine won’t last. I always start out by spraying some shine on the applicator putting it right where the tire and rim meet and go around the center. You don’t want to spray this area because of it getting all over the wheel it won’t hurt it if you get on there but it’s very time consuming having to reclean the wheel. After that depending on the tire size you may have to spray this area to get between the treads if it’s a large tire smaller tires you should be OK with just the applicator. After all this then the most important part you have to roll the vehicle up or back so you can dress the bottom of the tires very important. Thanks for reading.

The Dark Colored Car

I am a mobile detailer meaning I do all of my work outside so if its 100 degrees that’s where I’m at detailing a car. Washing, waxing, and whatever else I need to do to it. Everybody knows that cleaning a dark colored vehicle out in direct sunlight in the heat of the day is a challenge but I’m here to share how it’s done. Now with it being that hot outside the water is going to dry almost faster than you can wash it same goes for the glass as soon as you spray cleaner on the glass its going to be hard to clean. I always dry a car with a microfiber towel and some drying solution mine being a spray wax this gives you lubrication while drying I learned this after cleaning cars and drying with a chamois cloth. Now these are good for soaking up water but they don’t pick up any dirt particles left over from the wash. Notice how when you dry with one of these all the friction they cause while you’re drying that’s not good for your paint. So I always use a drying solution and a microfiber towel. Microfiber not only is good for drying but they also pick and lift off dirt particles safely. and the solution adds that lubrication layer needed for paint safety. When I wash a dark colored vehicle I do it on side at a time if you don’t there will be waterspots left behind so wash one side go quickly with your drying solution and go ahead and dry that side. Yes you will get parts of the car wet you have already dried but if it was easy everybody would be doing it. After that if you want to wax it and don’t have shade I know of product you can use I will post it at the bottom of this post. It a meguiars paste wax you can use in full sun but you still have to use caution and this is an awesome product. Moving to the windows if you get waterspots on them best way to remove them is spray the glass with your cleaner and take a scrubbing pad scrub the glass then take a clean dry microfiber cloth and finish polishing it out. This scrub pad is also very good at removing bugs and tar from a vehicle. I will picture the one I use also. Thanks for reading

Window Cleaner The Universal Cleaner

Most people think that window cleaner only cleans glass. Actually window cleaner is one of those cleaners that is gentle enough yet strong enough to clean just about anything. Window cleaner is designed to lift bugs, dirt, and other contaminants from glass so its strong enough yet gentle to clean a lot more. Maybe you forgot to clean the door jambs and you are cleaning glass you don’t have to waste time switching cleaners just spray the door jambs and wipe clean always use a microfiber cloth when cleaning any part of a car. Maybe you’re in the interior cleaning and see you have missed a spot window cleaner will clean that too. You dont want to go out on your paint and clean a huge area window cleaner just doesn’t have that lubricating layer you need to clean paint without scratching it, but a small area if you spray enough yes. Another use is chrome window cleaner is awesome at polishing chrome. The way I do it is spray on my microfiber cloth just a little dont soak it and wipe the chrome piece to a shiny finish. Did you miss some bugs on the front or mirrors spray some on there and wipe off its designed to lift it from glass it will lift it from the paint as well. You will be surprised at what this cleaner will clean. play around with it and see what you can clean with it.  Just remember be sure it has NO ammonia in the cleaner it will eat your rubber seal. I will post a picture of what I use and any product I post I will do full reviews on these products and if you want a great glass cleaner you should check this one out. And as always thanks for reading and if there is anything you would like me to talk about please comment or shoot me an email. Until next time.

Cleaning Windows The Right Way

Cleaning your vehicles glass is not as easy as it seems. A bunch of people don’t know how to clean glass properly. You may go out clean your glass it will look clean at one angle but when you look from another it has marks on it. First of all you have to look whats in your cleaner. You can’t use a cleaner with ammonia in it. Ammonia will deteriorate your vehicles rubber seals so be sure to get a cleaner with no ammonia. Now let’s get down to cleaning. I like to use a foam window cleaner to me the foam stays in one place when you spray it on the glass unlike a liquid cleaner that will run right off when you spray it. So first spray your whole glass with the cleaner you dont have to completely soak it. Use a microfiber towel because microfiber towel are used for lifting and holding dirt. They also have 2 sides most people dont know a cleaning side and a polishing side. Start by folding the towel in half then in half again so when one side gets dirty you can refold it to a clean side instead of using the whole towel and getting the whole towel dirty. You cant clean something with a dirty towel. That is very key  when detailing a  car wp-image-873853104jpg.jpgwhether it be cleaning glass, paint, wheels, or anything else. Once you have the whole glass wiped down and all the cleaner removed go back with another clean microfiber towel folded the same way and go back over the glass and polish it out. This is a very important step of cleaning glass that most people miss. Follow these simply steps and you’ll be cleaning glass like a pro. Thanks for reading until next time.
